About Should I take a property management course

Should I take a property management course?
I'm considering taking a property management correspondence course though Allied Schools, but I am very skeptical about how much it will actually do for me. I only have a high school education and have been working in restaurants for the past 7 years, I'm tired of dead end jobs and want to move on. Can someone who's qualified to answer tell me if this course will actually be worth taking? I'm afraid that with my limited education and no relevant work experience it will do me no good, or I am about to pay $800 and a year of my time working towards something that I could get without the course. Also could someone tell me if this is a good field to get into in the Akron, OH area?

Before you pay out any money for a course, why don't you look into some temporary agencies that offer positions in property management on the web. A lot of these companies offer temp to perm positions. Being that you have experience in the restaurants field, which deals with customers. It would best to start out in leasing, you'll come in contact with a variety of people and gain the inside experience in property management. If you are serious about working in this field, it would be to your advantage to inquire about training that is paid by the company. Most of the management companies will pay for your classes toward a certificate or degree. I hope this helps. Signed, Real Property Manager

About Anyone work at a STARBUCKS

Anyone work at a STARBUCKS?
I'm thinking about applying at a starbucks in The University of Akron and I was wondering what exactly the job consists of, so if anyone out there has worked at a Starbucks or this one in particular, please enlighten me on how your experience went.

I've been with Starbucks ever since my highschool grad summer last year. The particular Starbucks that I'm with has very, very high volume. It also has a drivethrough, so in general life was constantly very hectic and chaotic, with screaming customers demand that you smile through your teeth, make drinks at lightening speed, and be quick on your feet. I was an idiot to have my first Starbucks job with them. Generally every region has slower stores, where there aren't as many customers. If you're a new hire, I recommend heading over to one of these stores to train and solidify your skills before getting transferred over to another store. Once you're a partner and your 3 month probation is over, you can take shifts to other stores to see how you like the increased pace of busier stores.

About What is a good paying medical career

What is a good paying medical career?
I am really thinking about nursing. I know a couple of nurses that work nights and make 75k and more. Is nursing a good job and would nights be better than days? Also feel free to suggest more careers in the medical field. I only want to go to school for 4-5 years and want to make 75k after a couple years experience. Also what is the average income for a night nurse in akron ohio? Thanks in advance

Hmm, you only want to go to school for only 4-5 years so that eliminates being a Doctor and surgeon etc. So the next best thing could be a nurse. And nursing is a good job, my uncle is one and he makes somewhere around 80k per year, but he does have lots of experience though. As for making 75k with only 2 years experience im not sure about that, unless you *prove* yourself very good at what you do and work at a top notch hospital. The average salary for a Registered nurse in Akron ohio is only 50,989, which according to your salary goals isn't that high. The pay can vary differently considering the metropolitan are of which you work in. If you work in some small town then i recon it wouldn't be very high pay, but if you were in L.A. --like my uncle, you'd probably be more up their. But also there are other careers in the medical field such as, Radiologist which deals with x-rays, CT scanning,MRI, fluoroscopy and ultrasound etc. You would take a 4 year degree program plus 4 years of Medical school to become one, and they get pretty good pay --315k/year but oh yea, you want only 4-5 years schooling. Well then you could also try to be a radiological technologist which is either a 2 year degree program or a 4 year degree program and the average pay is about 55k/year. What they do is examine CT scans, develop x-ray film etc. and works under the Radiologist which is higher than a radiological technician. You can also look into Biomedical Engineering, which is a 4 year degree program. Biomedical engineering deals with the making of medical machines to improve treatment and diagnosis of medical problems. And there's also branches within biomedical engineering such as, tissue engineering, and genetic engineering which you can explore on your own. The average salary of a biomedical engineer is 51,000 Biomedical Engineers Average Salary http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/layouthtmls/swzl_compresult_national_HC07000113.html Biomedical Engineering http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biomedical_engineering Radiological Technologist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiologic_technologist Average Salary for a nurse in Akron Ohio http://www.salaryexpert.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Browse.Akron-Ohio-Certified-Nurse-Assistant-salary-data-details&PositionId=3022&CityId=2 Now can i have 10 points?....please...??

In Los Angeles Pharmacists make about $55-66 an hour. I personally think that's very good but everyone has their own opinion on what good pay is.

Hi Is nursing a good job?? What a question eh... yes as it requires that your help people getting better due to ill health... Did you not question this nurses regarding the pros and cons there are both posistives and negatives in every job. Nursing is an extremely demanding and tiresome career but I believe to be so rewarding on so many levels are you more motivated by income or actually the career itself I understand your motivation behind earning potentially quiet a bit but please consider this you must choose a career that is rewarding to you in other ways as however much an income is to add value you must ask yourself these questions Have I an interest in this? Will I enjoy this job and career? You must enjoy it and take pleasure in getting up in the morning to go work!!!! As you will never add the value required to doing a job well and of course to your future employers Income is important but I would suggest that it be the last thing you do before choosing a career why work in something of little or no interest for years due to the income!! You'll get bored frustrated disappointed and won't add value especially if your nursing!!!!!!! Good luck

About Pro-Model and Talent Management & Barbizon of Akron, Ohio. Rip off Or No

Pro-Model and Talent Management & Barbizon of Akron, Ohio. Rip off Or No?
I went in for the "new faces" group meeting a while ago, and got an instant call-back. The next day I went back, and sat in a small room with one of their representatives and my Mother. They made it seem like I was great, and perfect- Except that I needed to pay $1,395 for Barbizon of Akron, and atleast $400 upfront. A little fishy to me. We called BBB and apparently Barbizon and Pro Model are one in the same. I'm thinking that Pro Model gets their money from the $1,395 that we have to pay for the Barbizon school, and misleading us saying that they get the money from the work they provide us with. This is just a hunch. They say that after the 15 week class, I get to immediately sign with the Agency. I've also heard that any Agency that makes you take classes before signing, isn't legit. I'm about to go to the meeting where I put the $400 down, but I'm skeptical. Has anyone done this? Is this really a rip off? Help, I want to keep my money!!!!!

I wouldn't bother with any "agency" that forces you to take classes beforehand. If you were signed by a top agency like Ford or Elite they'd never make you pay for classes. The agency hires coaches to work with you one-on-one -that's why they take a commission to cover these sorts of investments in your career The reality is, there aren't going to be enough modeling jobs in a secondary city like Akron to support an agency through commission only. The only way these agencies can exist is to charge people for classes. Before you pay even $1 ask who their Top 5 models are and what they've booked them on in the past 6 months. If they won't show you then walk out - it means they aren't booking models on many jobs. Any legitimate agency would have no problem showing you their books and examples of work they've recently booked their talent on.
