i sing need help in akron ohio!!!?
are there any producers in akron ohio or songwriters. i've been singing all my life r&b i sing write and act. i just need someone that i can work with ...been through everything with local labels everthing you can name im 23 i need to get into the bizz now. i feel weird posting stuff but its my love and im to the point where i gave up but i cant. dont have anything in akron ohio.. need help!!!!

if you're really serious, i mean REALLY serious about music, you need to move. Akron isn't exactly the R&B capitol of america. New York, LA, Nashville are the big three depending on what you're looking to do. Chicago, Atlanta, (maybe Detroit) all have strong music scenes as well. But if you're only half serious, post a flyer in the music area of your local community college or coffee shops or Guitar Center. Talk to someone quite a bit before working with them, make sure you see things in a similar way, see if you feel good about them. Then, just work on one song together from start to finish and see how you feel about it. Wherever you go, whomever you work with, protect yourself. Copyright any lyrics you already have through the library of congress - LOC.gov you also need to "self-publish" your completed songs through ASCAP or BMI, or someone you're working with someday will swoop in and steal your publishing rights (it happens).
