information on pension from General Tire plant in akron from 1950's thru 1960's?
the pension co. says my father is qualified to draw pension because he had 10 yrs vested (he work about 14 yrs.) BUT DID NOT qualify because he had to work with the company till the age of 40. He work with the Tire Co. in Akron, Ohio in the 1950's into the 1960's

There has to be a plan document that talks about the rules. Ask for a copy of that. It will detail the rules.
